Atlantic Canada Trade Mission to SIAL Paris and the UK
Innovation PEI, in partnership with the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, working with Taste of Nova Scotia as the proponent, is seeking interest from export-ready PEI-based food, beverage and seafood* companies to participate in an Atlantic Canada Trade Mission to SIAL Paris B2B Walker Program, October 17-20, 2026.
As an add-on to the SIAL Paris B2B Walker Program, we are exploring the possibility of a mission to the UK from October 13-15, 2026 (dates TBC). This Expression of Interest will gauge company interest and insight into which markets in the UK are of primary interest.
Dates: October 17-20, 2026 (and possibly October 13-15, 2026)
Location: Paris, France (and possibly the UK)

*While the focus is on food and beverage companies, consideration will be given to seafood companies.

SIAL Paris Mission Features:
Companies wishing to participate in the SIAL Paris B2B Show Walker Program will travel to Paris, France, to walk the SIAL Paris Show from October 17 to 20, 2026. SIAL Paris is a true immersion into the heart of global food innovation. Participants can explore the halls and meet the players shaping the future of food, attend inspiring SIAL Talks conferences and the highlights of the SIAL Summits, and discover, in preview, the innovations that will define tomorrow’s trends in the SIAL Innovation area. Mission features in Paris, France may include, but are not limited to:
- Pre-mission briefings
- In-Market B2B/Export Café
- Canadian reception in both London and Paris
- Retail store tours
- Market research
UK Mission Features:
Companies interested in participating in the potential UK portion of the mission, please complete the expression of interest and indicate which markets in the UK are of particular interest. This mission would take place from October 13-15, 2026 (dates TBC). Mission features could include:
- Pre-mission briefings/webinars
- Market entry product assessments
- In-market roundtable and industry networking
- Taste of Atlantic Canada reception
- Site visits & store tours
- Potential B2B program
Funding Support:
Innovation PEI’s Export Trade Assistance can cover up to 60% of eligible travel-related expenses for eligible participating companies from PEI. Please submit an application prior to booking any flights or hotels. For detailed information, please click here.
The participation fees are:
- SIAL Paris – Paris, France: $1,500.00/company
- UK Mission: $1,000.00/company (TBC)
- Both markets: $2,500/company
Travel information and expenses not included in the participation fee:
- Please connect with your provincial representative for funding programs to support travel expenses.
- Participants are responsible for organizing and paying for their accommodations, air travel, and ground transportation to and from airports.
- Participants are responsible for covering all travel costs and meals not included in the program.
- Participants are responsible for obtaining travel visas if required.

Please be advised that this project is contingent on funding approval, and due to limited availability, applicants will be assessed on their export readiness. The deadline to submit your expression of interest is Friday, June 19, 2026. Expressions of Interest will be shared with the provincial and federal trade representatives for final selection. Once project funding is approved, companies will be contacted regarding the status of their Expression of Interest.
