Michelle MacCallum, Director of Cultural Development at Innovation PEI, is known for her commitment to nurturing artistic talent and promoting the cultural richness of Prince Edward Island. Her dedication to empowering artists to thrive and showcasing the island’s vibrant cultural community makes her an invaluable asset to the Innovation PEI team.

“I feel great satisfaction when people find success in their chosen creative careers, and I truly enjoy doing the strategic work of developing the creative sector through infrastructure, workforce and business attraction. Most gratifying for me is seeing the arts flourish in PEI and my small role in making that happen.”

Living in the picturesque Victoria-by-the-Sea, Michelle finds solace and inspiration in the tranquil surroundings that reflect the beauty of the island she calls home. In her moments of leisure, she can be found soaking up the warmth of the sun on the sandy shores of the beach, or painting in her art studio.

Michelle’s life motto is “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”, because it speaks to resilience, persistence, agility and creativity – and continuous learning and innovation.
