Our Island has also earned a reputation as a golf destination. With over 25 courses across the Island, golfers can experience the challenge and beauty of the game the Island way. Beyond golf, the Island’s community sports leagues, beach volleyball courts, and winter activities like cross-country skiing and ice skating ensure that there’s always something active to do, no matter the season.

Getting Involved and Giving Back

Island residents love to give back to their communities and support local causes. In fact, our volunteer rate is amongst the highest in Canada. There are many opportunities across non-profits, support programs, settlement services, development initiatives and community projects. This is one of the best ways to connect with others and integrate into the community on the Island!
