Multi-Sector Mission to South Korea and Japan – September 14 – 21, 2025

Innovation PEI, in collaboration with the other Atlantic Provinces and ACOA, is seeking export-ready PEI companies from the following sectors for participation in an Atlantic Canada Trade Mission to Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo and Osaka, Japan from September 14-21, 2025.

• ICT
• Ocean Technology

Mission Features

• Pre-arranged, qualified B2B meetings
• Attendance at Atlantic Canada Day at Expo 2025 Osaka
• Participation in business networking events, site tours, and roundtables
• Market briefings and pre-mission webinars
• Access to Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in-market
• Group ground transportation in-market

Proposed Mission In-Market Programming Dates

Seoul, South Korea

• Sunday, September 14 – in-market presentation/ /site tour
• Monday, September 15 – B2B’s/roundtable discussions/reception Tokyo, Japan
• Tuesday, September 16 – In-market presentation/site tour/roundtable discussions
• Wednesday, September 17 – B2Bs/lunch reception travel to Osaka

Osaka, Japan

• Thursday, September 18 – in-market presentation/B2Bs/roundtable discussion
• Friday, September 19 – Atlantic Canada Day and reception at Expo 2025
• Saturday, September 20-21 – Attendance at Expo 2025 (Business intelligence gathering)

Companies can choose to participate in the entire mission, visiting all three markets, or they can select only those markets they wish to participate in.

Funding Support: 

Innovation PEI’s Export Enhancement and Diversification Fund can cover up to 60% of eligible travel-related expenses for eligible participating companies from PEI, including economy airfare, accommodations, and meals. Taste of Canada’s Food Island – South Korea & Japan (September 15-20, 2025)

To maximize the market expansion and diversification opportunities outlined above, Innovation PEI is planning to host comprehensive marketing campaigns and press conferences in Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka—aligned with the Atlantic Canada trade mission to South Korea and Japan. These events will spotlight PEI’s food brand, Canada’s Food Island, and will include:

1. a) Integrated Marketing Campaigns A combination of traditional and digital strategies promoting Canada’s Food Island and PEI’s leadership in sustainability, food safety, quality, and innovation.
2. b) Signature Food Events

• Prince Edward Island Day at Expo 2025 Osaka (Canada Pavilion)
• Three Taste of Canada’s Food Island Press Conferences in Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka
