Meet Davion, Junior Business Development Officer at Innovation PEI! 

Originally from Clarendon, Jamaica, Davion Dennis made the move from Island to Island, coming to PEI for school in 2017. Now, a Junior Business Development Officer with Innovation PEI, specializing in small business development, he works with Island business owners to help them navigate supports from Innovation PEI and beyond.

Davion’s go-getter attitude is inspired by his parents, whom he considers his role models, “Their hard work and dedication to their craft stood out to me at a very young age. In addition, their willingness to help others even when facing tough situations themselves.” And this inspiration is reflected in his work – his favorite part of his job is being able to give back to PEI through assisting small and new businesses. Some words of wisdom that he carries with him in his life and career: “Success is built around understanding and improving yourself a day at a time.”

Outside of work, you can find Davion learning new recipes, or enjoying the outdoors –  finding new places to explore, hiking, or playing cricket and soccer!
