DESCRIPTION:Innovation PEI is seeking interest from export-ready PEI-based companies to participate in the Seoul Food & Hotel 2026. \nDates: June 9-12\, 2026 \nLocation: Seoul\, South Korea \nWhy Participate: \n\nMarket opportunity: In 2023\, South Korea placed fourth among 22 Asia Pacific countries with an average gross income of US$25\,852. During 2023-2028\, the consumer market is forecast to expand by 11.3% in real terms. South Korea is a net importer of agri-food and seafood products. Canada exported Can$1.2 billion of agri-food and seafood products to South Korea in 2024. Beside commodity food products\, the packaged food market has been experiencing increase in the past 5 years. The health and wellness industry continues to gain greater significance as more consumers have become cognisant of the negative impact of processed food and beverages on their health and wellbeing.
