DESCRIPTION:Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service is inviting small\, medium and large-sized companies\, including exporters from diverse backgrounds\, to join the Honourable Maninder Sidhu\, Minister of International Trade\, on a Canada Trade Mission to Italy. \nDates:  Sunday\, October 12 to Friday\, October 17\, 2025 \nLocations: Rome and Milan\, Italy \nSectors:  \n\nDefense and security (including cybersecurity) and aerospace \nInfrastructure \nClean technologies \nEnergy \n\nWHY PARTICIPATE? \n\nconnect with Italian business leaders\, trade commissioners\, senior officials and other key industry players to learn more about opportunities in the Italian market\nattend site visits \nparticipate in pre-arranged B2B meetings (available exclusively to SMEs operating within the trade mission sectors) \n\nWHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?\nCanadian SMEs must clearly demonstrate how they meet the following criteria: \n\nOperate in one of the four sectors identified for this trade mission (defense and security\, including cybersecurity\, aerospace\, infrastructure\, clean technologies and energy). \n\nBe export-ready with demonstrated potential for success in the Italian market: \nhave a commercialized product or service \ntarget Italy as part of their international business plan \nallocate significant resources (human\, material\, time and financial) toward internationalization \nDemonstrate prior research on the Italian market \nMeet the eligibility criteria to qualify as a client of the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS). \n\n\n*Please note pre-arranged B2B meetings will only be offered to SMEs. \n\nThis trade mission is for Canadian companies seeking to export or form strategic partnerships abroad. Firms offering services like immigration or business setup in Canada\, or those looking to import or source foreign suppliers\, are not eligible\, as these fall outside the mission’s scope. \nTRAVEL CONSIDERATIONS AND EXPENSES\nParticipants are responsible for organizing and covering their own travel and related costs\, including all air and ground transportation\, accommodation (a list of suggested hotels will be provided)\, and meals not covered in the program. Confirmed participants will receive programming details and travel information as it becomes available. \nThere is no fee to participate in the trade mission. \nAPPLY NOW\nAll applications will be reviewed based on eligibility and suitability for the trade mission. Please ensure your responses are complete\, detailed and tailored to this trade mission.
