We are excited to announce the Spring 2022 Ignition Fund is now open for applications!
The Ignition Fund is a competitive-based fund for entrepreneurs seeking start-up capital for a new innovative business venture or to develop and launch a new innovative product. The fund invests seed capital that will allow successful applicants to turn their ideas into tangible and viable businesses.

The Ignition Fund has given us the ability to turn our business from an idea into reality. With the seed money awarded to LENA through Innovation PEI, we have been able to invest more resources into R&D as well as hire an island-based developer.

Beyond winning the $25,000, the process itself was extremely helpful in setting us up for future funding initiatives by identifying what our business needs and what it can offer. The prize itself is the first step in our future success; it will allow us to buy the equipment necessary for scale-up, and will also help us get ready for export markets.”
What funding means to myself and our team is that we can bolster our growth and product development. Some of those items in our backlog and on the wishlist can now be actioned on and progressed. Hiring local people and being able to pay for some of our infrastructure costs allowing us to look forward with our business.
